NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a PRESIDENTIAL GENERAL MUNICIPAL (DISTRICT A and C and Mayor At-Large) ELECTION will be held in the City of Patterson, County of Stanislaus, State of California, on TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 5, 2024, for the following City of Patterson offices:
One (1) Council Member Seat (District A) - Full Term of Four Years
One (1) Council Member Seat (District C) - Full Term of Four Years
One (1) Mayor Seat (At-Large) - Full Term of Two Years
Stanislaus County election polling places will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, Election Day.
Candidate qualifications for office, before pulling nomination documents, must be 18+ years old or older, reside within the City of Patterson, within District A or C or At-Large for Mayor and be registered to vote.
Candidates MUST make an appointment to obtain nomination documents by calling (209) 895-8012 or (209) 895-8014. Candidates are encouraged to call as early as possible to ensure candidacy nomination paperwork is completed prior to the filing deadline.
The first day to secure and file nomination papers is Monday, July 15, 2024, between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Mondays through Fridays. The last day to secure and file nomination papers is Friday, August 9, 2024, between the hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Nomination papers will be available at City Hall, 1 Plaza, Second Floor, City Clerk/Elections Official’s Office, Patterson, California. Candidates for the offices listed above are required to file nomination documents with the City of Patterson, City Clerk/Election’s Office between the dates/times as listed.
In the event the current incumbent has not filed nomination documents, the nomination period shall be extended for anyone other than the incumbent to Wednesday, August 14, 2024, between the hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
If no one, or only one person, is nominated for any elected office, appointment to such elective office may be made as prescribed by the California Elections Code Section 10229 (2024 edition).
