This notice is to inform you that City Council has approved SMS Construction Services to close a section of Poppy Avenue for underground utilities and road repaving activities associated with the construction of Aapple Storage.
The road closure will take place from beginning Monday, December 15, 2025 through January 2026.
The following sections of road will be closed:
- Poppy Avenue between Highway 33 and the Patterson Irrigation District canal
This closure is required to ensure the safety of both the construction workers and the general public and will help expedite construction activities. Message boards and construction signs will be in place to help direct traffic. The contractor will maintain access to businesses/driveways within closures limits at all times. Emergency vehicles responding to calls will be prioritized through the construction zone. Furthermore, the contractor will provide adequate notification (at least 48 hours in advance) to all the affected areas prior to this closure.
