The West Stanislaus County Fire Protection District (WSCFPD) was founded in 1935 under the 1935 Fire District Act and covers approximately 625 square miles. Currently 80 volunteers firefighters serve and protect the communities and surrounding areas of Patterson, Westley, El Solyo, Newman, Crows Landing, and Diablo Grande.
